TelEm Group’s TelEm Fiber team will be carrying out essential upgrade works on their underground fiber cable network
Pond Island – TelEm Group’s TelEm Fiber team will be carrying out essential upgrade works on their underground fiber cable network in the Simpson Bay, Lowlands and surrounding areas Wednesday following cancellation of a similar work plan last Sunday.
The team held back on their initial plan so that all residential and business customers in the affected areas could be fully informed.
“It is very important that customers are aware of these scheduled works, when exactly they will occur and how long they can expect their services to be affected,” said a team member.
The works are now scheduled to begin shortly after 6:00 pm Wednesday evening (May 30) and are due to be completed by 6:00 am the following morning (Thursday, May 31).
Services affected will be Fixed Voice and Data (Internet) and Mobile Voice and Data. Fiber customers in the following areas are particularly asked to take note of the essential network upgrade works with expected interruptions in service to the following areas/locations.
- Lowlands
- Mullet Bay
- Cupecoy
- Maho
- Maho Reef
TelEm Group and the TelEm Fiber team apologize to all fiber customers in the affected areas for any inconvenience caused by Wednesday’s upcoming work program.
